Experience
I am a secondary education minor, so getting real-world teaching experience is very important to me. But, more than that, I want to help high school students maximize their abilities, and I think I can do that through tutoring them in language, history, and so on. I have taken many, many history classes which require incredible amounts of reading and writing, and as my GPA suggests, I tend to do very well. I believe that I can teach students effective ways to write research papers, use grammar correctly, and use the social studies to better understand the world around them. I was the captain of my cross country team in high school, which has helped me develop leadership abilities. I have also worked in groups throughout my college career, usually leading them, so I believe I have a measure of experience when it comes to leadership. These are skills that I think I can pass down to the students I tutor.
